DEATH OF GEO. MILTON BAYLOR

Mr. G.M. Baylor died of paralysis at his home in this county, near Hebron church Sunday afternoon last at about 3 o'clock. Mr. Baylor had been in usual health up to the time he was stricken which was the evening before.

Deceased was 61 years of age, a Confederate veteran and a member of Stonewall Jackson camp of this city. He was regarded one of the substantial men of the county and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. The funeral was held at his late residence Wednesday afternoon, the services conducted by Rev. Dr. W.N. Scott of this city, after which interment took place in Thornrose cemetery.

Veterans detailed by Stonewall Jackson camp to attend the funeral were Erskine Gay, J.H. Waters, J.A. Hupman, J.N. McFarland, Chas. E. Young, and Chaplain W.N. Scott.

Mr. Baylor is survived by his wife, two sons, Frank and James, the latter of Brownsville, Texas, and one daughter, Mrs. John Pirkey, of Staunton, and also five sister: Mrs. C.S. Baker, Mrs. S.C. Eichelberger, Mrs. James O. Hobbs, and Miss Lizzie M. Baylor, all of Staunton, and Mrs. Laura A. Freeman of Attica, New York.
