Mrs. John S. Pirkey died yesterday afternoon at her home in Grottoes.
She is survived by her husband and two brothers, Gaines Baylor of Waynesboro and G. Frank Baylor of Swoope.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home at one-thirty Thursday afternoon.

FUNERAL TODAY
Mrs. J. S. Pirkey, well known resident of the Grottoes community, died Tuesday evening after a lingering illness, her health having been precarious for two years.
Surviving are her husband; two brothers, H. G. Baylor, Waynesboro; G. F. Baylor, Swoope; also an only aunt on her mother's side, Mrs. J. G. Elliott, of North Augusta street.
Mrs. Pirkey was married to Mr. Pirkey Sept. 28, 1893. She was Miss Mary Baylor, a daughter of the late G. M. and Elizabeth Hoover Baylor of the Hebron church section. For many years she had been a member of the Presbyterian church.
Funeral services will be held from the home at one-thirty p.m. today, conducted by the Rev. C. H. Phipps, pastor of Mt. Horeb Presbyterian church. Interment will be in Thornrose cemetery.
