- Saginaw, Michigan - Passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Covenant- Cooper. Age 87 years. The daughter of the late Carl and Irene (Visger) Popp was born February 19, 1923 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Melvin Robert (Buster) Davenport in 1941. He passed away in 1962. She was employed by various companies including, Lufkin Rule, Weichmann's, the Ben Franklin Store in Flushing and drove school bus for the Flushing Schools. She was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed Euchre, bingo, sewing and decorating. She was a resident of Westchester Village for the past 30 years. Surviving are one son, two daughters and their spouses, Randy and Janet Davenport, Linwood, MI; Sheila and Michael Harvey, Richville, MI; Lisa and Steven Soule, St. Charles, MI; four grandchildren, Shantel Broadway, Kerry Ewald, Aaron Gaudreau, Courtney Soule; four great grandchildren, Victoria Rose Campfield, Charles Edward Campfield, Taylor Gaudreau, Brandon Gaudreau; two sisters, one brother, Norma Kitner, Florida; Herb and Sophie Popp, Freeland, MI; Nancy Woodall, Saginaw, MI; several nieces and nephews. Several brothers and sisters have predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at Noon Monday, March 8, 2010, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Ronald L. Sinclair will officiate with burial in Cook Cemetery, Taymouth Twp. Friends may call at the chapel from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday.
