PAUL EDWARD SHEPHERD SR., age 71, of Mabelvale died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009. He was born in Humnoke, Ark., on Sept. 12, 1938 to Louise Looney Shepherd and the late Clyde Shepherd. He is preceded in death by his father and two brothers: Cecil and Nicholas Shepherd. Paul was a Marine Corps veteran serving 11 years from 1957 until 1968 and had attended the Sandstone Church of Christ. He was a salesman during his employment career. Paul is survived by his wife of 43 years, Martha Priester Shepherd; by his two children: Paul Norman Shepherd Jr., (Marcia) of Lowell, Mass., and Paula Beasse (Chris) of Mabelvale; one grandson, Logan; his mother, Louise Red of Mabelvale; sister, Lillian Sisson of Mabelvale, and brother, Jim Shepherd (Joyce) of Mayflower; his dear friend, Ron Wallace and the Shannon Hills Fire Dept. as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
