Chester R. Bricker, 92, a resident of Rising Sun Retirement Home, and formerly of 13327 Hoov­er Mill Road, Waynesboro, died at 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, in the Waynesboro Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past five years and was criticalj since Wednesday. Born Feb. 9, 1898, in Waynes boro, he was the sone of John -and Barbara (Monn) Bricker. He was a lifelong resident of Waynesboro. He and his wife, Mrs. Helen K. (Noll) Bricker, were married on June 2,1923. She died April 13, 1971. Mr. Bricker was employed at Frick Co. as a machinist for 44 years, retiring in 1960. He is survived by 12 children, Chester R. Bricker Jr. and Robert J. Bricker, both of Cleveland, Ohio, Lorraine E. Socks, Geraldine P. Shockey, Kathleen J. Woodring, Richard D. Bricker, Lavonne E. Wishard, Nancy F. Welch and Caro­lyn L. Carson, all of Waynesboro, Mary J. Monn of Quincy, Shirley A. Feiser of Hagerstown and LeRue A. Shaffer of Mont Alto; 31 grandchil­dren; and 48 great-grandchildren. Mr. Bricker was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m.. Wednesday in the Grove Funeral Home, with the Rev. Irvin T. Shultz officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.. Tuesday in the fun­eral home.
