Ethel Jacobson, a resident of McPherson Care Center, died Friday at McPherson Memorial Hospital. She was 89.
Born Feb. 11, 1893, at Lindsborg, the daughter of Frank and Millie Jansen Falen, she married Ernest Jacobsen on Oct. 17, 1916, at Lindsborg. She was a member of the McPherson Foursquare Gospel Church.
Survivors include three sons, Henry of Westminster, Colo., Vernon of Fullerton, Calif.; a daughter Leona Whited of McPherson; four sisters, Eleanor Gottschalk of Lindsborg, Viola Prather of Springfield, Mo., Verna Griggs of Lindsborg and Ruth Tucker of Gainesville, Mo.; three brothers, Leroy Falen of Topeka, Raymond Falen of Stafford and Malcolm Falen of Pratt; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday and Anderson Funeral Home, Lindsborg, with Pastor Earl Worley officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorials to the Foursquare Gospel Church or McPherson Care Center.
