Cleora was a beautiful lady. She was married first to George Nordelli in December of 1929 in Globe, AZ. They went on a road trip together and then called home to say they wanted to get married. Her mother tried to talk her out of it…but she didn't listen. This was not a happy union and finally ended in divorce. She was a Mormon and he was a staunch Catholic and this caused problems for the couple. After the divorce Cleora needed a change so she moved to California.
She then met a man named Bill Wolfe, but she had had enough of marriage so they just lived together. However after seven years she became his common-law wife. Bonnie said she never forgave Bill for not marrying Cleora. Bill had a company that had amusement games and they were doing very well financially until Bill forgot to pay the government some owed funds and they shut down his business. Bill and Cleora soon split and she moved to San Diego where she stayed for many years.
Blanche would go out to visit Cleora and they had a great time together, but Bob and Bill felt she was spending too much money so they talked her into coming home again.
Cleora drank a lot and died from cirrhosis of the liver. Her family tried to help her but she could not stop and it finally killed her. She died on October 21, 1972 at the age of 58.
Cleora was not active in the church after she left home, but her sister Bonnie Belle Platt - West has made sure that all Cleora's temple work is done.
