Wilton, Iowa, Jan. 27 -- Funeral services for Henry N. Lang, Muscatine county pioneer, who passed away Thursday evening, were held from the Wilton M.E. church Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Jacob Wirth of the Evangelical church conducted the services. He was assisted by Rev. C. D. Loose. Rev. Wirth took for his text Phil. 1-24, and paid tribute to the life of Mr. Lang both as a Christian and citizen. A quartet composed of Mrs. Ida Van Gent, Miss Frieda Marolf, Charles and Louis Hahn sang. Following the services at the church, the remains were taken to the Wildasin cemetery, a mile south of town, for interment. The pallbearers were John Brown, Thomas Nugent, Paulus Hahn, John G. Klein, John Hahn, and Charles Fryberger. Relatives from a distance who attended the funeral were. Rev. Charles P. Lang of Fairmont, Neb., Rev. David Lang of Marion, Iowa and Mrs. W. H. Wahl of Paton, Iowa.
