MOSCOW — Funeral services have been set at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Griffith funeral home for H. Newton Lang, 88, who died Sunday morning at the Wilton Nursing home.

Mr. Lang was born December 9, 1880 to Henry and Ellen Wagner Lang in Wilton. February 18, 1909 he married Jo Olive Eveland at Murdock, Nebr. He was a member of the Peace United Methodist church, Wilton Masonic Lodge 167 AF & AM, OES Eastern Star 315, Rose Croix White Shrine, a six year member of the Muscatine county board of supervisors, Bloomington grange and a 50-year member of the Farm Bureau.

Surviving are his widow at home; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Lois) Anderson of Bettendorf and Mrs. Harold (Inez) Miller of Osseo, Minn; a brother, Joseph Lang, of Wilton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. Burial will be at the Oakdale Cemetery.
