Joseph Lang, 87, Wilton, known throughout the area for his singing of Scottish songs and for his part in the Hahn-Lang Quartet, died this morning at the Wilton Nursing Home.
Services are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Griffith Funeral Home, where visitation is set for after 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton. Rev. Dale E. Ellsworth will officiate.
Born July 28, 1887 in Wilton, he was a son of Henry and Ellen Wagner Lang and was a lifetime resident of the area.
A farmer, Mr. Lang was a long-time Farm Bureau member and a Sunday school teacher for 50 years at the Peace United Methodist Church, Wilton.
He married Clara Hahn April 16, 1913 at Moscow.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Jordan, Adel; and Beulah Lang, Wilton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, four sisters and three brothers.
