Funeral services for Mrs. McMahon of Buckeye township were held from the home and the Gladwin Methodist Episcopal church Thursday, Aug. 28, 1930, Rev. Whitney officiating. The presence at the services of a large number of friends and neighbors, together with the many beautiful floral offerings, witnessed to the esteem in which she was held. Mrs. McMahon was taken ill about eight weeks ago and passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, at the Mercy hospital, Bay City. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed. She was laid to rest in Highland cemetery.
Grace Barclay was born to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Barclay May 19, 1889, at Bradshaw, Ontario. She was married to Lewis McMahon in Detroit July 5, 1906, and lived there until they moved to Gladwin county Dec. 3, 1907.
She leaves to mourn her husband, Lewis McMahon, nine children, Mrs. Guy Taylor, of Gladwin, Arthur, Clarence, Ethel, Grace, Roger, Dale and Donald at home; her father, Samuel Barclay of Sarnia, Ontario; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Smith of Sarnia and Mrs. Albert Izzard of Camlachie, Ont.
