SERVICES HELD FOR LEWIS MCMAHON
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Hall Funeral Home for Lewis S. McMahon, 77, well-known Buckeye Township farmer. The Rev. Carl Hilbert officiated and burial was in Highland Cemetery. Mr. McMahon, a resident of Gladwin County since 1894, was found dead about 6 p. m. on January 23 in the barn at his farm home. He was born May 12, 1882, in Pule, Ontario and married Ethel McKimmy in April 1938.
Survivors include his wife Ethel; five sons; James Arthur of Midland, Clarence of Saginaw, Roger of Beaverton, Dale of Waterford and Don of Sarnia, Ont.; four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Taylor, Phoniex, Ariz., Mrs. Ethel Kigar, of Gladwin, Mrs. Marjorie Reigler of Bay City, and Mrs. Grace Hawley of Pontiac; a step-son Loren McKimmy of Beaverton; a brother, Fred of Beaverton; sister, Mrs. Ida Shanahan, of Windsor, Ont.; 27 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
