Funeral mass celebrating the life of Jack Hobbs will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at St. Clement Catholic Church in Vivian, La. Officiating will be Father James McLelland, of St Clement Catholic Church assisted by Rev. Mark Eakin. Interment will follow at the Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Vivian, La. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, Vivian, La with a rosary beginning at 6:30 pm.

Mr. Hobbs was born on September 18, 1920 in Vivian, La to Ernest and Edith Hobbs and passed away on April 4, 2010 at Cornerstone Hospital in Bossier City, La after a lengthy illness. He was a pipe fitter with the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #141, veteran of WWII serving in the Navy, and was a member of St Clement Catholic Church.

His parents, his first wife, Betty June Chandler Hobbs and his second wife, Helga "Peggy" Newhaus Hobbs, preceded Mr. Hobbs in death. He is survived by his son, Jack T. Hobbs and his wife, Monica of Lake Placid, Florida, two sisters, Billie Guy of Vivian, La and Rose Butland of Mira, La and one brother, Larry Hobbs of Phoenix, Az.
