Mr. Hobbs passed away after a sudden illness leaving behind his beloved Wife of 62 years, Irene Ellen Hale Hobbs, Three Sons; Mac Hobbs and wife Mary, John Paul Hobbs and wife Debbie, Marv Hobbs and wife Evelyn, Three Daughters, Billie Bohannon and husband Jessie, Sally Wall and husband Robert, Carolyn Sullivan and husband Ronnie, all of Vivian; Two Brothers, Jack Hobbs of Vivian, and Larry Hobbs of Phoenix, Arizona; Four Sisters, Annie D. Bryant of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, Rose Butland of Mira, Louisiana, Pet Barron of Carson, California, and Billie Ruth Guy of Vivian, Louisiana; Sixteen Grandchildren, Karen Campbell, Randy & Kevin Hobbs; Jay, Trevor, & Craig Bohannon, Pam Brasher; Ellen Stevens, Les & Jason Boyter; Clint & Chad Sullivan; Paula Cooper & Mark Hobbs; Melody Hataway & Christin Hobbs; and Twenty Two Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Services were held December 8, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. in the McGuire Funeral Home Chapel. Eulogy was given by Brother Jim Brasher of Pine Street Church of Christ. Song Service led by Tim Alexander.
