Jewel M. Travelstead, 88, of Pekin, formerly of Marion, IL, passed away at 5:28 a.m. Tuesday, February 18, 2003 at Pekin Manor in Pekin.
She was born August 15, 1914 in Williamson County, IL to Hugh and Courtney Jones Boatright. She married Charles Hanselman on September 4, 1936. He preceded her on August 9, 1943. She married Loren Travelstead on July 2, 1956 in Marion, IL. He proceded her on December 8, 1984.
Surviving are one son, Ron (Connie) Hanselman or Morton; two brothers, Leamon Boatright of Bradenton, Fl., Hugh Boatright of Marion, one sister, Janie Dippie of Marion and two grandsons, Doug and Steve Hanselman of Morton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Charlie Hanselman (1993), one brother and two sisters.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion with Dr. Jerry Ford officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home.
