MARION - Hugh "Bebo" Boatright, 88, of Marion, passed away at 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2006, in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, in Blue Funeral Home in Marion with the Rev. Floyd Dorris officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2006, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
Mr. Boatright was born April 4, 1917, in Marion, to Hugh and Courtney (Jones) Boatright. He married Lois Harrison in 1940, in Arkansas. She preceded him in death on Aug. 21, 2000.
Survivors include his sisters, Janie Dippie of Marion; his brother, Leamon Boatright; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his brother, Lloyd Boatright; and his sisters, Jewell Travelstead, Ruby Morris and Bessie Dunning.
Mr. Boatright was of the Baptist faith. He served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a coal truck driver for many years.
