Son of Alice C. Howell and Hartness Isaac Gibson
Albert L. Gibson, 83, of 415 Taylor Ave., died at 8 a.m. on Monday (Sept. 5, 1977) at Guernsey Memorial Hospital after a hospitalization of five days.
Mr. Gibson was born Sept. 24, 1893, in Kimbolton, the son of Harness Gibson and Alice Howell Gibson. He was retired from RCA and was formerly employed by Penn Railroad and American Sheet and Tin Plate Co. His wife, Glenna Grace McConkey, died in 1956.
He leaves six daughters; Mrs. Edith Archer, Cambridge; Mrs. Clyde (Elizabeth) Becker, New Philadelphia; Mrs. Joe (Ethel) Mikeska, Houston, Tex; Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Miller, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Mrs. Stanley (Helen) Korteskie, Gahanna; and Mrs. Carl (Patty) Smith, Newcomerstown. There are five sons: Albert of Dayton; Walter of Columbus; Clyde of San Antonio, Tex; Glenn of Cambridge; and Arthur of Tipp City. In addition there are 34 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Two brothers are deceased.
Mr. Gibson was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Calling hours are from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday at Bundy - Law Funeral Home. Services will be held from the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday with the Rev. Donald Burge of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Guernsey Memorial Gardens.

Services for Albert L. Gibson will be held at 10:30 a.m.. On Thursday at Bundy-Law Funeral home. The names of two of his daughters were incorrectly stated in Wednesday's Daily Jeffersonian. They are Mrs. Clyde Baker of New Philadelphia and Mrs. Stanley Korpeskie of Gahanna. Mrs. Gibson died in 1966.
