Ezra Williams Rites Thursday At Birmingham
BIRMINGHAM, Ia. - Ezra J. Williams, 88, lifetime resident of the Birmingham area, died early today at Van Buren hospital in Keosauqua after a lengthy illness.
Services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Birmimgham Methodist Church in charge of the Rev. Ora Reep. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery. The body is at the Burch Funeral home.
Williams was born Aug. 15, 1876, the son of Thomas and Christine Hootman Williams. He was married to Esther Bonnett, who died Dec. 16, 1942. On Feb. 7, 1946, he was married to Etha Meek, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Unkrich, Birmingham; and Mrs. Margaret Arthur, Hawkeye; and one step-son, Harold Meck, Birmingham.
Other survivors are seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one step-grandson; and the following brothers and sisters: Irving Williams, Agency; Glenn Williams, Keosauqua; Floyd Williams, Birmingham; Mrs. Florence McCall, Brighton, Colo.; and Mrs. Ethel Buckmaster, Commerce City, Colo. Two brothers and two sisters are deceased.
Williams was a member of the Birmingham Methodist church.
