T. I. Williams Rites Tuesday
BIRMINGHAM - Services for Thomas Irving Williams, 87, will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Birmingham Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Ora Reep. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery. The body is at the Burch Funeral Home.
Williams died Saturday at Van Buren Memorial hospital in Keosauqua where he had been a patient for 10 days. Most of his life was spent in Van Buren County.'
Williams was born Nov. 25, 1878 near Birmingham, the son of Thomas Lewis and Mary Christian Hootman Williams. He was married to Blanche Gall Jan. 8, 1903. She preceded him in death Nov. 3, 1964.
Surviving are nine children: Lester and Arthur Williams, both of Birmingham; Robert Williams, Keosauqua; Mrs. Lucille Doughty, Agency; Mrs. Marjoy Gould, Richland; Mrs. Faye Dooley, Amarillo, Tex.; Mrs. Beryl Kerr, Douds; Mrs. Beulah Phillips, Keosauqua; and Mrs. Marie Kurka, Eldon.
Also surviving are 29 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, children, 36 great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Ethel Buckmaster, Thomas City, Colo.; and one brother, Floyd Williams, Birmingham.
Williams was a member of the Birmingham Methodist church.
