They lived in Frankfort, Indiana for over 25 years, then moved to Indianapolis in 1903. Cynthia was an active member and later president of The New Era Club formed in 1908 and participated in many other social functions such as the Martha Washington Art Club and the WCTU. Cynthia and her husband lived for several years at 323 S. Noble Street, then by 1930 lived at 1723 N. Meridian. At the time of her death in 1938, she was living at 1040 Fairfield. Her husband had died two years earlier, in 1936.
Son Roy Aaron Ghere married Katherine Aughe and had 3 children, the oldest was the famous William Aughe Ghere (known as Will Geer, actor who played Grandpa Walton in "The Waltons" television series). Roy Aaron Ghere's other children were Lawrence Lloyd and Ruth J. Ghere. Roy eventually moved to Florida where he died in 1972.
Cynthia and William's other son Oliver Perry Ghere married Elnora Meyer and had one child, Robert William Ghere born in 1912. Oliver Perry worked at the old Indianapolis Glove Factory and died in 1954.
