Perry Gaskill, a well known and highly respectable citizen who resided on the old Ad Pence farm, three miles east of the city, died at noon Thursday after a six weeks illness. Mr. Gaskill was first taken with the grippe, which soon developed into consumption, the direct cause of his death.
The deceased was 56 years of age and had a wide acquaintance. He has lived a quiet, but honored life and his death will cast a gloom over the community in which he passed his life. His wife and four children survive him. Newton and Pierce Gaskill of this city, are cousins of the deceased. At 2 o'clock no time had been fixed for holding the funeral but it will probably be Saturday under the auspices of the Masonic Order of which he was a member.
