Grandma Gaskill Dead.
After a brief illness of a serious nature, Grandma Elizabeth Gaskill died at 12:12 this morning of heart disease at the home of her son David Gaskill, six miles northeast of the city. The deceased was 88 years of age, and leaves a number of sorrowing relatives who bemoan her death. Coming here from Ohio in 1834 she settled with her husband on the farm where she was to reside for the next 64 years.
The funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from the residence of David Gaskill. Interment at the Layton cemetery.

Elizabeth Gaskill, Aged 88 years Called to Her Reward
Monday night shortly after 12 o'clock at her home five miles north of the city in Union township, occurred the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Gaskill, aged 88 years. Her death was due to heart failure brought on by old age and general debility, she having been in poor health for some time.
Mrs. Gaskill was born in Warren County, Ohio in 1810, and removed to this county in 1833. In 1834 with her husband, now deceased, she removed to the farm where she spent her entire life, having lived in the house where she died for 64 years. Two children of the nine in the family survive her, David Gaskill and Mrs. William Ghere. She was an aunt of N. J. Gaskill of this city. She was a most highly esteemed lady, was loved by all who knew her and was a devoted Christian woman. The funeral was held Wednesday at 2 o'clock from the residence and was conducted by Rev. Beisel. The burial was at the Layton Cemetery.
