Bessie Jarrell was born on Oct.
22, 1906 at Bloomfield to the late
Jonas and Victoria E. Griggs Hopkins
and died Tuesday, Nov 15, 1994 at
the Doctor's Regional Medical
Center in Poplar Bluff, at the age
of 88.

Mrs. Jarrell was a homemaker
and had resided in the Bloomfield
and Dexter area all her life. She
was a member of the Lick Creek
Church near Bloomfield.

On July 26, 1924 she was married
to Lige Jarrell at Bloomfield and to
this union seven children were born.
Mr. Jarrell preceded her in death on
May 14, 1976.

Her survivors include two sons;
Kenneth Jarrell and Carl Jarrell, both
of Dexter, three daughters; Frances
Carr and Faye Strouts, both of
Watervliet, Michigan and Ruth Ann
Ricketts of Walhalla, Michigan, 22
grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren;
one great-great-grandchild; other re-
latives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by two
children, four sisters and six brothers.

Visitation will be held after 5 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 17, 1994 at the
Watkins and Sons Funeral Home
in Dexter.

Funeral services will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 1994 in
the Watkins and Sons Funeral
Chapel in Dexter. The Rev. Jerrold
Lake will officiate and burial will
follow in the Lick Creek Cemtery
near Bloomfield, with Watkins and
Sons Funeral Home in charge of
all arrangements.
