Mrs. Addie Bell Knouse, 79, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. George Trostle, York Springs, Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock She had been in failing health for more than six months but death was sudden.
Mrs. Trostle was bom in Adams county and had lived with Mrs. Trostle for the last 10 years. She was a member of the Chestnut Grove Lutheran church and was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Baldwin.
Surviving in addition to the daughter are nine step-children: M. E. Knouse, Arendtsville; Mrs. Eva Rexroth, Arendtsville; Mrs. Merle Culp. Bendersville: Mrs. Barry Kirae, Biglerville; Mrs. Charles Zlegler, Arendtsville; Roy Knouse. Silver Run, Md.; Ralph, Arendtsville; Harvey and Bruce, Gettysburg; three brothers, George Baldwin and Benjamin Baldwin, both of Biglerville; and William Baldwin, Troy, Ohio; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie McCauslin, Bendersville; Mrs. Nellie Miller, Biglerville; Mrs. Mervin Stover, Arendtsville; and Mrs. Cora Bush, Sparrows Point, Md. There are one grandchild, 18 step-grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Funeral services Friday at 2 pjn. from the Pittenturf funeral home in York Springs with the Rev. Norman Bortner. pastor of the Chestnut Grove church, officiating.
Interment in the Wenksville cemetery.
