Robert Earl Neese, 78, of New Bethlehem R.D. 4, passed away at his late home on October 29, 1963, after an illness of two weeks.

Born April 5, 1885 in Red Bank Township, Armstrong Co., he was a son of the late Jacob and Suzannah Emery Neese.

His first wife, Anna Sherry, preceded him in death in 1912. He then married Edith May Anthony in 1917.

He was a member of the Mt. Carmel E.U.B. Church, and has resided at the present address for the past 57 years; was a coal miner by occupation and road supervisor of Red Bank Twp. for 18 years. He was secretary of the Road Supervisors for 20 years.

In addition to his wife named above, he is survived by the following children: Paul Ernest; John, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Olive Barrett, Dayton, Pa.; and Bernard Foreman, of Bradford. A brother, Silas Neese, Freeport R.D. and 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren also survive.

Friends will be received at the Bly Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, until 12 noon on Thursday. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. from Mt. Carmel E.U.B. Church, Rev. Harry C. Sherry officiating.

Interment will follow in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Anna (Annie) Mariah Sherry 1884-1912 was the daughter of Daniel Franklin Sherry and Mary Ellen Martz. Annie died at the age of 28 from a pelvis abscess.
