Susannah Neese died at the home of her son, Silas at McWilliams, Armstrong County, June 12, 1933 aged 88 years 10 months and 22 days. Her death was due to infirmities of old age.

Deceased was a daughter of George and Catharine (Hilliard) Emery and was born in Armstrong County, July 20, 1844.

She was married to Jacob Neese on August 21, 1861 and to this union the following children were born:
Anna Clara m Albert Wampler
Mary Catherine 1869-1950
m Alva Clarence Smith
William Park 1872-1945 m Margaret Burkett
Robert Earl 1885-1963
m Annie Sherry m Edith Anthony
Silas Idrew 1888-1984 m Esther Ruth Snyder

She was survived by one sister,
Mrs. Sarah Jane Holben of DuBois and by
27 grandchildren,
47 great grandchildren and
2 great great grandchildren.
Her husband preceded her in death.

Funeral services in her memory were held in the Reformed Church at Eddyville June 14, and were conducted by Rev. Mr. Shields. Interment under the direction of H. H. Sloan took place at Eddyville.

Mrs. Neese was a faithful member of the Mt. Carmel Evangelical church and was highly esteemed by all her friends and neighbors.
