LEBANON ENTERPRISE OBITUARY - 07/17/1975
Mrs. Minnie Lee Mattingly, 88, of Loretto, died at 11:20 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, at Mary Immaculate Hospital. Mrs. Mattingly, a native of Nelson County, was the daughter of the late Napoleon and Annie Linton Nalley. Her husband, Joseph Arthur Mattingly, preceded her in death in 1966. She also had a son, Louis, who preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Earnette Ballard of Loretto; two sons, Joseph Linton Mattingly and George Rodney Mattingly of Loretto; 40 grandchildren, 90 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi Church with burial in the St. Vincent DePaul Cemetery in New Hope. The Rev. Marvin C. Rolfes officiated at the services. The Mattingly Funeral Home, where a prayer service was held at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, was in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were Marcie Mattingly, Tommy Mattingly, Joe Mattingly, Bernie Mattingly, Randall Ballard and Stanley Ballard.
