J. BERNARD BOONE, NEW HAVEN, DIES - Joseph Bernard Boone, 75, of New Haven, formerly an employee at Hazelwood Sanitarium in Jefferson County, died Monday afternoon, August 10, at the home of his sister, Miss Elizabeth Boone in New Haven. Mr. Boone spent his early life in the New Haven area and for a number of years was a fireman for the L&N Railroad. He returned there from Jefferson County several months ago. Also surviving are another sister, Mrs. Zita Sims, Akron, Ohio, and a brother, Frank E. Boone, Louisville, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be today (Thursday) at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine Church, New Haven. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Al Bowling, Joe Bell, Dave and Lewis Boone, Cyril and Bernard Head. The body is at Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven, where the Rosary was recited at 8 o'clock Wednesday evening.
