She was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Mitchell, she was the daughter of Harvey Curtis and Effie Cora (Enochs) Chastain. She married Raymond McFarlan and he preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Bedford.
Survivors include her son, Jim McFarlan and wife Sandy of Bedford; her daughter, Joyce McFarlan of Bedford; five grandchildren, Jimi McFarlan of Bedford, Jamie Kelly of Tampa, Fla., Tammy Marcin of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Patrick Spaulding of Boston, Mass., and Christopher McFarlan of Bedford; nine great-grandchildren, Amanda, Bethany, Taylor, Logan, Sadie, Graden, Makarah, Daven and Eagle; one great-great-grandchild, Vaida Jane Kelly; one sister, Myrtle Robbins of Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Raymond, six brothers, Claude, Clifford, Clyde, Dale, Floyd, Howard and Pete; one halfbrother, Ray; and two sisters, Mae and Madge.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle Henderson and the Rev. Junior Chastain officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.
