Pearl Steele, 93, of Huntsville, Arkansas, died January 23, 2001 at Meadowview Healthcare and Rehab in Huntsville. She was born November 14, 1907 at Wharton, Arkansas, the daughter of Austin Denton and Caldonia Dotson Bolinger. She was a homemaker and a member of the Wharton Creek Holiness Church. She was the widow of Samuel Webster Steel who preceded her in death on March 9, 1989.
Survivors include: four sons, Dwight Steele and Arthur Steele, both of Huntsville, Duane Steele of Springdale, Arkansas and Leon Steele of Bismarck, Arkansas; one daughter, Helen Tait of Los Altos, California; one brother, Denton Bolinger of Huntsville; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, in the chapel of Brashears Funeral Home with Rev. Butch Bolinger officiating. Interment was in the Wharton Creek Cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home of Huntsville. Pallbearers were: Carl Staff, Stacy Tait, Layne Tait, Rocky Steele, Tom Scott, and Jerry McChristian.
