Mrs. Evelyn Mae (Barrett) Brewer of Old Schenley Road, Schenley, died at 6 a.m. today, March 28, 1968 in her home. Mrs. Brewer had been seriously ill since November. She was born June 14, 1907 at Tarentum, a daughter of David J. and Mary Blanche (Spicher) Barrett. She was married to Emerson Brewer on August 28, 1940 in Greenup, KY. Residing at Schenley since 1952, she formerly lived in Leechburg and Hyde Park. Mrs. Brewer was a member of the Templeton Methodist Church. Survivors including her husband are a son, Paul Emerson Brewer, Baltimore,MD; a daughter Linda Shirleen Brewer at home; six brothers, Clarence, Thomas, Kenneth, and Leonard Barrett, Templeton, Lee Barrett, Kittanning and David Barrett, Hyattsville, MD; four sisters, Mrs. Roland (Kathadine) Brewer, New Kensington, Mrs. Ray (Idell) Bigley, Lower Burrell, Mrs. George (Yvonne) Butler, Templeton, Mrs. Wesley (Vivian) Ulmer, Lancaster. A son, Gary Brian Brewer preceded her in death on June 24, 1962. Friends will be received at the Dean A. Cline Funeral Home, Leechburg, from 7-9 p.m.today and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday where service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday with Rev. John C. Shenefield, pastor of Zion Lutheran Church, Gilpin Twp. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
