Ex-Area Resident Dies Friday
---Mansfield E. Harrington died at 4:08 p.m. yesterday afternoon of a heart attack. He was stricken in Battle Creek and died enroute to Leila hospital.
---He was born January 22, 1887 in Calhoun county, the son of James W. Harrington and Matilda Blair Harrington, and was married to Florence M. Blodgett on June 26, 1920 in Tekonsha township.
---Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Dwight Harrington of Route 2, Marshall; one grandson, Michael J. Harrington; one sister, Mrs. Charles Schultz of Homer and several nieces and nephews.
---He was a member of the Maple Methodist church in Battle Creek and was retired from General Food the Postum division, in 1952 after 25 years of service.
---He had been in failing health for the past three years.
---He lived in or around Marshall most of his life.
---The funeral will be held from the Farley funeral home in Battle Creek Tuesday, August 14 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert J. Dobbs present pastor of the Maple Methodist church and the Rev. Floyd H. Cramer of Jackson, former pastor of the Maple Methodist church, officiating.
---Interment will be in Oakridge cemetery in Marshall.
