---Mrs. Gertrude Harrington Blodgett, wife of Orley H. Blodgett passed away at 3:00 o'clock this morning at Oaklawn hospital, where she had been a patient since July 29. She had been critically ill for the past several days.
---Mrs. Blodgett was born on the J. W. Harrington farm in Fredonia township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Harrington and had resided there all her life. She attended high school in Marshall and Battle Creek and college in Oberlin, O. She was a member of the Baptist church.
---Besides her husband, she is survived by relatives in Des Moines Ia., South Carolina, Monroe, Athens, Battle Creek and Detroit.
---Funeral services will be held at 2:00 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Kelser-More funeral home. Rev. Thomas S. Vernon will officiate and interment will be in Oakridge cemetery. Friends who wish may call at the funeral home.
