Services for Edith Morrison, 93 of Maxwell, who died of heart failure July 8, 1983 at the Long Term Care facility in Nevada, were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 11 at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell. Burial was at the Mitchelville Cemetery.

Morrison was born to James and Margaret Brown on Jan. 23, 1890, in Cambridge.

She was a member of the Maxwell Presbyterian Church and a 50-year member of the Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include a son, Donald Walker of Boone; a sister, Bertha Ballard of Ames; two stepdaughters, Blanche Morrison of Maxwell and Lila Gamble of Perry; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
