ALMA KILMER OF WINTERSET DIES
Death Occurred at Her Home In Winterset Last Friday
Alma Kilmer of Winterset, a resident of this community practically all of her life, died Friday March 10 at her home in Winterset, after several months of failing health. She was 59 years of age.
Miss Alma Alta Ann Kilmer was born at Perry, Dec. 7, 1907, a daughter of Arthur H. and Mary E. Cellan Kilmer but had lived here since early childhood. She attended Simpson college at Indianola, and was a former school teacher.
She was a member of the First Methodist church of Winterset, and the Wesleyan Service guild.
She was preceded in death by her mother in 1959, and a brother, George, in 1962. Surviving are her father, Arthur H. Kilmer of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Clankie of Rockford, Ill., and Mrs. Wallace Basore of Winterset; and two brothers, Jesse W. Kilmer and Clell H. Kilmer, both of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Wilson Funeral home here, conducted by the Rev. Everett K. Burham, pastor of the First Methodist church. Burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery near Winterset.
