Jesse Kilmer, Winterset
Jesse W. Kilmer, 85, of Winterset, died of cancer April 2, 1995 at the Community Care of Winterset. Funeral services will be Friday, April 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. The Rev. John Shaull will officiate the services and burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from noon until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born in Minburn on Oct. 7, 1910 to Arthur Herbert and Mary Elizabeth (Cellen) Kilmer. He married Elizabeth Hancock on Nov. 16, 1951 at Ft. Madison. He was retired and had lived most of his lifetime in Madison County. He was self-employed and bought, sold and traded various merchandise and equipment.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one brother; and three sisters.
Surviving relatives include one brother, Clell Kilmer of Winterset; and seven nieces and nephews.
