GEORGE A. KILMER DIED ON MONDAY

Funeral Services Scheduled This Friday From Wilson's

George A. Leonard Kilmer, a resident of Winterset for many years, died Monday, June 25, at Memorial hospital here, after four years of failing health. He was 64 years of age. He had entered the hospital just 11 days prior to his death.

Mr. Kilmer was born Jan. 22, 1898 at Woodburn, in Clarke County. In 1905 he came to Patterson, in this county. During the next six years he lived in Lucas, Dallas, Webster and Hamilton counties, returning to this county in 1913.

He never married. During his years of residence here he worked as a teamster, and was widely known throughout the community. He was a member of the Winterset Methodist church.

His mother died nearly three years ago. Surviving are his father, Arthur Kilmer; three sisters, Alma Kilmer and Mrs. Audrey Basore of Winterset, and Mrs. Hazel Clankie of Durand, Ill.; two brothers, Jesse and Clell Kilmer, both of Winterset.

Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. from the Wilson Funeral home in Winterset in charge of the Rev. John C. Porath of the Methodist church. Burial will be made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery near Winterset.
