Thomas N. Cobb, 77, long a resident of Christian County and the Chadwick community, died at 9:15 p.m. Monday at St. John's Hospital in Springfield after a long illness. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Oak Woods Baptist church. He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Violet Spradling, Rt. 3, Springfield, Mrs. Grace Bilyeu, Forsyth, Mrs. Lucille Walker, Strafford, Mrs. Vivian Fletcher, Ozark, Mrs. Mary Ingenthron, Forsyth, and Mrs. Pearl Hampton, Selah, Wash.; five sons, George, Topeka, Newt, Forsyth, Truman, Springfield, Elza, Sacramento, and Sgt. Jimmie Cobb, Munich, Germany; two brothers, John, Springdale, Ark and Charles N., Ozark; two half-sisters, Mrs. Nancy McCoy, Jal, New Mexico and Mrs. Martha Cox, Forest Grove, Ore.; three half-brothers, Steven, Everett, Wash., Martin, Forest Grove, Ore.; and Billy, Ozark; 44 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be tomorrow, Friday at 2 p.m. in the Oakwood Baptist Church with the Rev. Theodore Keithley officiating. Burial will be in Chadwick Cemetery under direction of Harris of Ozark.
