Mrs. Vivian Helen Fletcher, age 89 of Ozark, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012. She was born September 4, 1923 in Chadwick, MO, the daughter of Thomas Newton and Carlotta (Dwyer) Cobb.

On October 27, 1943she was united in marriage to Joe Franklin Fletcher. Vivian worked for many years at Ozark Head Start as a dietary cook and was a member of Ozark first Baptist church. Vivian loved making quilts and other crafts. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking working crossword puzzles and playing Pitch and Yahtzee with her family and friends.

She is survived by four children and their spouses: Jim and Linda Fletcher, Ozark, MO, Joyce and Randy Hale, Billings, MO, Donna and Dan Shively, Ozark, MO and Larry and Norma Fletcher, Sparta, MO; five grandchildren: Joel Fletcher, Melissa Hale, Augie Harper, Wendy Coberly and Stacy Mayes; seven great-grandchildren: Sumer and Autumn Fletcher, Brittany and Keely Harper, Karinne and Austin Coberly and Lee Anthony Mayes; three siblings, Lucille Walker, Strafford, MO, Mary Ellen Ingenthron, Forsyth, MO and John Cobb, Springfield, MO.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Joe Franklin Fletcher, May 5, 1996; seven siblings: Pete Cobb, Violet Spradling, Grace Bilyeu, Newt Cobb, Truman Cobb, Bud Cobb and Pearl Hampton.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with Brother James Mohler officiating. Burial will follow in Chadwick cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 2, 2012 in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, 2432 East Madrid, Springfield, MO 65804. The family wishes to express a special thank you to HPC Hospice and the management and staff of North Park Village for their compassionate care.
