Mr. Cobb was a member of Golden Avenue Baptist Church. He was an 80 percent disabled Army veteran of World War II, having served in the European theater. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans.
A native of Chadwick, he had lived in California several years before moving to Springfield.
Survivors include his wife, Earline, one daughter, Teresa of the home; four brothers, Elza "Bud," Sacramento, Calif., George "Pete," Topeka, Kan., Newt, Taneyville and John, Springfield; and six sisters, Mrs. Violet Spradling and Mrs. Grace Bilyeu, both of Chadwick, Mrs. Lucille Walker, Strafford, Mrs. Mary Ellen Ingenthron, Forsyth, Mrs. Vivian Fletcher, Ozark, and Mrs. Pearl Hampton, Port Angeles, Wash.
