Died Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 1 a.m. at Baton Rouge General Hospital. She lived at Route 1, Walker, was a native of Livingston Parish and was 76. Body at Hollabaugh-Spindle Funeral Home, Denham Springs. Religious service at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday conducted by the Rev. D. E. Coyle and the Rev. Charles Lamb. Interment at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers are Olen Ray Davis, John Deer Jr., Eli Noble Jr., Freddie Arnold and Elder Ray Arnold. Survived by her husband, Leon C. Davis, Walker; four sons, Lee Davis and Willard Davis, both of Denham Springs; Scoffield Davis, Baton Rouge, and Herbert Davis, Baker; five daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Ward, Mrs. Bonnie Noble and Mrs. Juanita Deer, all of Baton Rouge; and Mrs. Tennie Arnold and Mrs. Winnie Courtney, both of Walker; a sister, Mrs. W. T. Tate, Tickfaw; 33 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and numerous neices and nephews. She was a member of Judson Baptist Church.
