Lucy's son, Murray was killed in an automobile accident in 1940. He is buried in the Confederate Cemetery, Alvin, Brazoria County, Texas.
In 1952 when Lucy died at age 77, she was living in the home of her son, Frank Vieno, in Hardin County, Texas. Lucy died and is buried as Lucy Vieno in the Jordan Cemetery, Honey Island, Texas. Later, her son Frank and his wife, Fannie Mae, were buried next to her.
