Mrs. E.M. Young Succumbs at 77; Services are set.

Mrs. Edith M. Young, 77-year old Moline resident, died at 10:25 o'clock last night in Happy Haven rest home, Silvis, where she had been a patient for the past two weeks, following a lingering illness. The body was removed to Furgie-Esterdahl chapel, where friends may call after noon tomorrow. The Rev. Jean C. Bloebaum of Rock Island will officiate at the funeral 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon in the mortuary. Burial will take place in Kewanee cemetery, Kewanee. Mrs. Young, who lived at 3025 Tenth avenue, was born Aug. 22, 1874, in Camden. The former Edith West was a resident of this community for 36 years. She was married to Frank Young Aug 22, 1893, in Augusta. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. William Willets, Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Ray Murphy, Moline, Mrs. Agnes Remery, Moline, and Mrs. Mervin O'Melia, Rock Island; a son, Harold Young, Chicago; a sister, Mrs. Ray Worman, Sanger, Calif.; two brothers, Clem West, Augusta, and Benjamin West, Michigan; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mr. Young and three sons preceded her in death.
