Mrs. Harriet Amelia Leach, 77 years old, wife of Orange P. Leach, owner of the Leach-Hulburt Lumber company, died today at her home, 3700 Tracy avenue. She lived in Kansas City fifty-two years. Mr. and Mrs. Leach celebrated their golden wedding anniversary September 4, 1943. Mrs Leach was born in Camden, Ill., and taught in the schools there. She had been a member of the Ivanhoe Park Congressional church forty-eight years, having served as president of the women's association of the church and president of the Tuesday Noonday club, an organization of Congregational women. She was a former member of the board of managers and recording secretary of the Florence Crittenton Maternity home and was a member of the Young Women's Christian association.

Mrs. Leach leaves also one daughter, Mrs. Mina L. Hulburt of the home; one son J. Webb Leach, 4316 Roanoke road; three brothers, Tobe West and Clem West, both of Augusta, Ill; and Benjamin West, Plymouth, Ill.; and two sisters, Mrs G. R. Worman, Sangar, Calif., and Mrs. Frank Young, Moline, Ill.
