Tobe S. West, 71, brother of Clem West, chairman of the Hancock County board of supervisors, was found dead in a field near his home in Augusta, Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at 2 in the Methodist Church, in charge of the Rev. B.D. Mallinson. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. West was a member of the Methodist church and the Masonic Lodge. He was married to Elizabeth Robinson, Jan 2, 1901. He was associated with his brother in a meat market until his retirement in 1945.
Surviving are the widow; one son, Robert, of Augusta; three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Lillis of Augusta, Mrs. Alice Aubrey of Muscatine IA, and Mrs. Lois Alexander of Augusta; two brothers, Clem of Augusta and Bennie of Kalamazoo, Mich, and two sisters, Mrs. Edith Young of Moline and Mrs. Mabel Worman, of Sangler, Calif.
