"Mrs. B.A. Allison 79, a resident of McPherson and McPherson county for 59 years, died at her home at 220 South Walnut at 3;30 o'clock this morning. She had been ill for some time.
Mrs. Allison was born Sept. 4, 1863 in Leavenworth , daughter of Elijah and Marianne Ferguson. She attended school at Kansas university and at Ottawa university and came to McPherson county 59 years ago as a teacher. She taught school both in Windom and in Lindsborg. She was married to Benjamin A. Allison, July 3, 1885, in Leavenworth. Her husband preceded her in death May 14, 1930.
Mrs. Allison is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Paul Jesberg, Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Amos Hawkinson, Larned; Mrs. W.C. Huntington, Urbana, Ill.; Mrs. Frank O'Bannon, Claremore, Okla.; Mrs Dean Metcalf, Fresno, Calif, and Mrs. H. C. Allen, Lawrence, Kas.; one son, John B. Allison, McPherson, and one sister, Mrs. Joe Welch, McLouthm, Kas.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Congregational church. Rev. Bryant Drake, officiating. Interment will be in McPherson cemetery."
