She was married to Whitney Clark Huntington on June 13, 1913. Mr. Huntington is head of the civil engineering department of the University of Illinois. The family resides in Urbana, Illinois. They had two daughters: Dorothy and Ruth Huntington.

In Frances Weaver's book, As Far As I Can See..." she described her Aunt Vera as playing the "Maple Leaf Rag" every time she came into the house!
