Marianne, the sixth daughter of Benjamin Alexander and Adelle Ferguson Allison, was affectionately called "Jim" as there were no boys in the family until the 7th child was born, little brother John B. Allison.
Marianne was a graduated from the University of Southern California circa 1921. She married Justin Grace Mayers and taught in the Los Angeles Elementary Schools. Justin was a real estate salesman and investor. No children. Justin died suddenly of a heart attack at the young age of 40 years.
During WW II Marianne married Dean Metcalf. He was a pianist/radio newsman and had been a friend of John B. Allison, her little brother, when they were students at USC.
During the war Dean saw service in the group that broadcast news of the war in the pacific. Upon his retirement, this couple moved to Apple Valley, California where Dean and Marianne opened a fine gift shop.
Marianne did not have any children.

Maternal Grandparents: Elijah and Marianne (Quinche) Ferguson.
