Jones, Cleda Rebecca West-62, of the Black Creek Community, passed away Wednesday morning, November 25, 1987, at the Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge following a lingering illness. Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Silas West and the late Alma Ellis West and was also preceded in death by her husband, William Alfred Jones; one sister, Evelene West; and two brothers, Arthur and Robert West. She was a member of the Black Creek United Baptist Church for many years. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Julus (Betty) Lewallen of Helenwood, and Mrs. Glen (Barbara) McCartt of Robbins; four sons, Kenneth Jones and Roger Jones, both of Robbins, William H. Jones of Elgin, and Jimmy D. Jones of Robbins; one sister, Pauline Jones of Robbins; three brothers, A.D. West of Oneida, C.V. West of Robbins, and James West of Elgin; twenty grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted at the Black Creek Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Friday, November 27, 1988, with Rev. Charles Ellis and Rev. Guy Ainsworth officiating. The True Way Gospel Singers sang. Burial was in the Black Creek Cross Roads Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Claude E. Branim, Audie Ellis, Jesse Ellis, Nathon R. Jones, Gary Jones and Mike Smithers.
