Hutson, Ruth Burress-78, passed away July 4, 1988, at the Scott County Hospital following a lingering illness. She was the daughter of the late Made Burress and the late Serelda Daugherty Burress. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Elva Sharp, Marriak Lowe, and Roxie Ward; two brothers, Luther and Alfred Burress, five grandchildren. She had been a member of Corinth United Baptist Church at Smoky Junction Tennessee since 1936. She is survived by her husband, Johnie Hutson of the Fairview Community; five daughters: Ellen Lowe, Phyllis Bailey, Gladys Williams, Nova Jean Mastoprietto and Alma Rose Fisher; five sons: Ernest, James Glen, Hoyal, Galen and Rev. David Hutson, one sister Lina Baker, and one brother, Virgil Burress; four half sisters: Florence Moore, Geraldine Ward, Anita McKamey and Virginia Martin; two half brothers: [names have been omitted]; 39 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
